The organic farm LA CAPANNINA is situated between Volterra (15 km), San Gimignano (25 km), Montaione (18 km) and Castelfalfi (15 km). It has been offering farm holidays from 1993 on. Easily to reach for a day trip are also the most important places in Tuscany such as Pisa (47 km), Lucca (52 km), Florence (69 km), Siena (70 km). The 300 hectare farmland, the private pond and the 2 hectares of wood are part of a nature reserve, where are living our nice animals, a pony , a donkey, a Monterufolino horse.
The two farmhouses are located 6 km away each other and were built according to the typical Tuscan country style (stone, terracotta floors, wooden beam ceilings) and are surrounded by wide gardens, cipresses, lavendel and rosemary bushes.
- Cottage La Capannina: indipendent cottage for 4 persons with pool ( 5 x 10 ) and jacuzzi
- Casa Ruffilli: typical lovely house with 2 apartments ( pool and whirlpool 5 x 10).
ORGANIC ECOFRIENDLY HOLIDAY IN TUSCANY
our farm produces organic cereals, flours, pasta and our guests may visit our stone mill, pasta factory and bio shop where to taste and buy fresh wood baked bread, pastries, honey, red wine and vernaccia di san Gimignano, jam, apple juice, pasta, tomato sauce, pesto,etc…. On Monday or Thursday we bake Pizza and Bread: free ( for one time ) and always tasteful. Childrens can play at our new volleyball field. Adults can walk quietly following the best country paths in the nearby. If liked, you can learn also how to do special tuscan pastries at our oven bakery
The Floriddia’s family owners speak fluent english, german and french.
If required, we offer you a unique experience: drive with of our wagons hauled by our tractor through our fields and you’ll discover a unique countryside, wild animals etc. The trip will take approximately 35 min. Each apartement has its private table outside in the garden , beachchairs and deckchairs. Parking , plays for childrens, stone barbecue in both houses.
In some of the accommodations, warm water and electricity is produced through solar energy. The next village and shops are just 5 km away in Villamagna, whereas horse riding is only 6 km away, golf course 15 km (Castelfalfi) and a very good restaurant 7 km.
The Tuscan coast (Costa degli Etruschi) can be reached in about 1 hour by car.
